Medicine of the heart — a daylight teacher. A small circle for men who want to meet honestly.
About the ceremony
A circle for men
A place where men can meet honestly — with room for what is deep, sensitive and protective in a man.
Medicine of the heart
High in the Andes, a cactus grows slowly towards the sun. The elders called it Huachuma. Today many know it as San Pedro, after the saint who holds the keys to the gates of heaven.
A daylight teacher
Huachuma doesn't pull you out of the world. It opens your eyes to the one you're already standing in: the sun feels warmer, the flowers stand out more sharply, and your own heart becomes audible. It walks beside you, not ahead of you.
Coming home
In the old traditions of Peru, Huachuma was met with song, prayer and silence. People didn't come to the medicine to escape, but to come home — to the earth, to each other and to themselves.
